How to Activate Your Walmart MoneyCard in 2022?

You have just purchased or received a Walmart MoneyCard as a gift? A Walmart MoneyCard is basically a debit card, which works almost the same way as a credit card when it comes to making payments. The only difference is that the spending limit consists only of a prepaid amount. Apart from shopping, you can use it for other purposes such as traveling. Whenever the balance on the card gets low, you can reload it.

The good thing about this card is that you can give it to a son or daughter aged between 16 and 17 years as part of their allowance. When you lose the card, you can report it to Walmart and they will give you a replacement. After that, you will need to activate your new Walmart MoneyCard.

Who Qualifies for a Walmart MoneyCard?

If you are 18 years or older, you qualify for a Walmart Money Card. Your credit rating and whether you have a bank account are not requirements. Minors aged between 16 and 17 will be issued with the card with parental permission. Even with a single account, you will be able to get more than one card. All purchases and fees will be charged on the same account.

Where Is the Walmart MoneyCard Accepted?

Before you use a Walmart Money Card, check for a Visa/Mastercard sign. It doesn’t matter if you are talking about hotels, gas stations, grocery stores, airlines, and just about anywhere they accept payment by debit card.

  • An issuance fee of $3.00
